Ellie Harrison, from Unity College, is the winner of the 2024 Soroptimist International Murray Bridge Tertiary Scholarship.
This is an “all-rounder” scholarship based on academic results, community involvement, personal development, life experiences and performance at interview.
Ellie has many leadership awards, including being named a year 12 student leader at Unity College.
In that role she demonstrated kindness, authenticity and consideration for others.
She successfully combined the role of an exceptional school leader with that of a highly motivated academic, receiving year 12 subject awards in psychology, nutrition and general English.
Ellie has been accepted into a midwifery degree, and the Soroptimists wish her well in her future endeavours.
The Soroptimist Tertiary Scholarship has been awarded annually since 1991.
Previous recipients have included aspiring surgeon Rylie Franke, occupational therapist Kalder Bormann, computer scientist Riley Lienert, teacher Lachlan Thomas and Mitchell Heward.
