Drug smugglers caught in the act at Mobilong

Meanwhile, police have arrested three people for allegedly attempting to smuggle drugs into Mobilong Prison.

Officers were called to the prison at 2pm on Saturday and arrested a 20-year-old woman from Aldinga Beach for introducing a drug into a correctional facility.

They also charged two men – a 21-year-old from Salisbury North and a 33-year-old from Happy Valley – with possession after allegedly finding methamphetamine and GHB in their car.

All three were granted bail but will have to come back to Murray Bridge to face court.

Caught speeding while drunk

Just one motorist has been detected doing the wrong thing on Murraylands roads over the weekend: a 43-year-old Murray Bridge man who got picked up on the Old Princes Highway on Sunday.

Police allegedly detected his car travelling at 92 kilometres per hour in an 80 zone.

After being flagged down and breath tested, he allegedly recorded a blood alcohol level of 0.19, almost four times the legal limit.

He was disqualified from driving for 12 months on the spot, and will face court.

After flying over from New Zealand, Burma the elephant will leave Adelaide Airport around 5pm to head to her new home via the South Eastern Freeway.

The eastbound freeway tunnel will be limited to one lane while Burma’s jumbo-sized truck passes through, and commuters may experience some delays at the Adelaide end of the trip.
