The last Sunday of October has rolled around, which means the Callington Show is back, featuring ag shows, rides, live music, exhibitions and show treats galore.
If you have a fear for all things spooky, steer clear of the local swimming centre on Saturday night where Halloween at the Pool will be held.
On the contrary, if Halloween is your vibe, then get your haunted house/coven/lair registered before October 30 for trick or treaters to visit Monday night – if they dare.
Coffee with a Cop will return this Tuesday, too, this time with the dog operations unit and their police dogs.

Coorong District Council NAIDOC Week Event: 10am at Tailem Bend Town Hall. Flag raising ceremony, cultural performances by Ngarrindjeri dance troupe Rritjarukar, cultural activities and morning tea. All are welcome.

Market/car boot sale: 7am-1pm at St Luke’s Anglican Church, Station Drive, Tailem Bend. Produce, bric-a-brac, clothing cosmetics, preserves, antiques, pot plants, memorabilia and more.
Longriders CMC old skool bike show: 9.30am-5pm at the Longriders clubhouse, 37 Rocky Gully Road, Murray Bridge. All make and models are welcome. Halloween at the Pool: 5-8pm at Murray Bridge Swimming Centre. Dress up in your spookiest costume and head down to the pool to celebrate its opening for the season. There will be live music and a BBQ, and a dress-up competition. Register at eventbrite.com.au.
Murray Bridge Speedway: gates open 4pm, racing starts from 5pm at Murray Bridge Speedway. Races will be feature Speedcars, Formula 500s, Wingless Sprints, Junior Sedans, AMCAs and Classic Speedcars. Coffee with a cop: 10.30-11.30am at Marketplace Shopping Centre. An opportunity to get to know the local police enforcement and have your questions clarified over a cuppa. This time the Dog Operations Unit, their police dog and members from the Murray Bridge Crime Prevention Section will be making an appearance.
Melbourne Cup luncheon at the Bridgeport: 11am at the Bridgeport Hotel. Enjoy an afternoon of food and fashion. Prizes are up for grabs for best dressed filly, best head piece and best dressed bloke.
