Tailem Bend have inflicted Murray Bridge's first loss of the season with a narrow 58-56 win at Tailem, while RSL remain winless at the foot of the table after a big loss to Jervois.

Meanwhile Karoonda have rebounded to score an important win over Mannum.

At Jervois the home team were far too strong for RSL with an emphatic 85-35 win with all rinks getting up.

Derek Vanderzon, Graham Fromm, Graham Schenke and John McEntee had little trouble in dispatching David Graham, Ann-Marie Kuchel, James Galbraith and David Newell with a resounding 31-11 win.

The locals won 15 of the first 18 ends to be in total control at 31-5, with three successive three's early in the piece.

Six shots to Graham over the last three ends gave the score a little more respectability at the finish.

Shawn Hicks, Heather Fromm, Bruce Smith and Neil Morris also enjoyed a 20 shot win, getting up 29-9 over David Thiele, Michael Walker, Brenton Sinclair and Gillian Newell.

Thiele collected singles on both the opening two and closing two ends, but very little in between as Hicks steadily built his lead as the match progressed.

A seven shot lead at the break was quickly became 11 with a four on the 12th, and Hicks was untroubled from thereon.

Graeme Herbert, Jeremy Scannell, Shane Fromm and Stuart McCulloch had a real battle with Jason Sipos, Matt Wynne, Kerri Bolt and Garry Daniel before winning 25-15 after a finishing strongly.

Herbert built a lead several times during the match, only to be pegged back each time with Sipos hitting the front for the first time after 16 ends.

But it was short lived, with Sipos failing to score again as Herbert finished with a flourish, adding 11 shots to nil over the last five ends.

At Tailem Bend the home side finished a little stronger over the final ends on each rink to edge out Murray Bridge by two shots, 58-56 in a nailbiter.

Sam Shepherd, David Hoare, Stuart Rooke and Grant Byrne could hardly have got off to a better start against Bruce Attrill, Damien Dolman, Judy Zadow and Brian Leckie.

They opened proceedings with a five on the first end, immediately followed by a three to be 8-0 up after just two ends, and 11-2 after four.

A single to Attrill was immediately followed by a four, and then inexplicably by an eight as Attrill was suddenly four in front.

Things then settled down with a series of singles until Attrill again restored a four shot lead after 14 ends.

Three three's to Shepherd regained him the lead over the run home and he went on to win 25-22.

Travis Schenke, Rob Hales, Kevin McDonald and Matt Kowald secured a last gasp draw against Andrew Stasinowsky, Brian Traeger, Helen Lindner and Ben Traeger with a three on the final end to level the scores 19-19.

Schenke had led by five shots early, but a six to Staz put him in front narrowly, a lead he maintained until the final end three to Schenke.

Tony Trewren, Charlie DiSanto, Troy Penhall and Paul Smart just hung on for a 15-14 win over Duane Edwards, Merv Stevens, Mike Pethick and Chris Slattery in a very low scoring contest.

Edwards led by three at the break, but Trewren won seven of the next eight ends to edge four ahead with two ends to go.

Edwards finished with a two and a one, not enough to get his rink up, but vital in securing the six points for Tailem.
