Up to 2000 people have flocked to Long Flat on Saturday night for the inaugural Riverbend Rodeo.
The event, organised by the committee behind the Lower Murray Stockman’s Challenge, featured bull and bronc riding and barrel racing and continued long into the night with a musical performance by Tooch and the Honky Tonk Revue.
It was the second rodeo in the district in three months, following the Murray Bridge Rodeo’s return to Monarto after a 13-year absence.
However, organiser Cathy Angel said there were no plans to make it a regular event at this stage, as state government fees made it an expensive proposition.
There taking action and crowd shots were Peter Blacket and Julie Moulds.
