Lions Club Christmas raffle drawn for 2025
The Murray Bridge Lions Club has announced the winners of its annual fundraising raffle.

Food hampers worth thousands of dollars have been distributed to local families, and thousands more has been raised for community projects, in the Murray Bridge Lions Club’s annual raffle.
A small crowd gathered at Murray Bridge Marketplace on Friday for the drawing of the raffle.
The winner of the major prize – a wheelbarrow full of goods valued at almost $800 – was a Trevor Kennett.

Lion Hylton Moritz said the raffle had raised about $3500 for the club.
The proceeds would be spent mostly on on projects which would benefit local people in need, he said, plus the occasional contribution to national disaster appeals.
He thanked the community members who snapped up about 2100 tickets in the raffle, and all the local businesses who donated prizes.
“We feel like we’re contributing, making Christmas a little bit happier for some people,” he said.
