Best-selling Australian author TL Swan is a global phenomenon in the world of spicy romance books.

She has sold more than 10 million copies of her works, and they have been translated into 12 languages.

When she tours the United States, her fans queue for up to three hours to get their books signed and have a selfie with her.

But you can skip all that when you meet her in Murray Bridge.

Independent bookstore Fiction and Friction will bring TL Swan to the Bridgeport Hotel this Friday night, so grab your tickets while you can.

The price of admission includes a signed copy of her latest novel, The Bonus, and a drink on arrival.

River Murray football and netball: At Mypolonga Memorial Oval. Includes Coorong v Mypolonga in the A grade football semi-final at 12.45pm and Imperials v Southern Mallee in an A grade netball elimination final at 3.20pm.

Kerryn Hobbs Memorial Competition: From 9am at Murray Bridge Showground. The Mounted Games Association South Australia is joining with the Pancare Foundation to raise money for people affected by pancreatic and other upper GI cancer in memory of Kerryn Hobbs. Mounted games are a series of very fast and exciting races performed by people on ponies. Come and compete or simply come and show your support by watching. Free admission.

Dragway at the Bend: 1-8pm. Off-street drags and tractor pull. Bring your street registered car or motorbike out to the dragway and have some fun. Rockleigh 105 Gravel Fest: 8am-5pm at Monarto Sporting Complex. With distances from 21-105 kilometres, the 11th Gravel Fest will be a firm favourite for off-road bike riders. For more info visit www.mmievents.net.au.

Hip Hop Connect: 4-6pm at the Station, Murray Bridge. Hip Hop Connect is an exciting and engaging program for youth interested in hip hop. This program offers a variety of workshops, and offers young people the chance to connect with other hip hop heads, poets and music makers. Tuesdays during school term.
