Mark Whittle was happy with his score at the local rifle club
A pleasant winter’s day greeted shooters at the Murray Bridge Rifle Club this weekend as they competed from 800 metres, with a right wind keeping everyone on their toes.
Four possibles were scored on the day.
Adrian Conlon made a 60.06 in his second round on his way to winning F-Open with a score of 117.09,
Mark Whittle managed a 50.04 in his second round in Sporting Production finishing with a 96.07.
Both Andrew Heard and Greg Traeger achieved possibles in TR, with Heard’s 50.06 giving him the edge ahead of Traeger’s 50.01, finishing top in TR with a 97.08.
New member Jonathon Kats also had a good day at the range, scoring 111.06 to win off-rifle in F-Standard.
Kats' score was also more than enough to see him claim the F-Class handicap award for the first time.
In TR/SP, Heard was able to hold off a challenge from Jasamine Irvine to claim that handicap award.
Shooting continues next week from 300m.
