Saddle up for the second edition of the Country by the River music festival, coming to Sturt Reserve, Murray Bridge on October 14.
The family-friendly event will have a lineup that would rival even the most renowned country music festivals, featuring some of the most celebrated names in the Australian music scene.
Headlining will be the Wolfe Brothers, the chart-toppers and golden guitar winners who have become the nation’s most successful ever country duo since debuting on Australia’s Got Talent 11 years ago.
Also on the bill will be:
Travis Collins, an eight-time golden guitar winner
the Sunny Cowgirls, country music festival mainstays
country rocker Jayne Denham
the Pleasures, the duo of Catherine Britt and Lachlan Bryan
Christie Lamb, Adam Ludewig, Ella and Sienna and Michael Ward will round out the lineup.
Alongside the quality tunes, the day will also include delicious bites from some of South Australia’s best food trucks, alongside a slew of beers, wines, spirits and cider from award-winning local breweries and wineries.
Event director Scott Hollow said the festival was all about showcasing some of Australia’s best and emerging country-styled musicians.
“I am delighted to be able to bring back this country music festival, with a massively talented lineup, to South Australia,” he said.
“Sturt Reserve, along the Murray River, is the perfect backdrop for this event.”
He thanked the Rural City of Murray Bridge for helping to bring the event to life.
Country music, good vibes, camping chairs, food trucks and affordable drinks - if this sounds like a virtuous time, then Country by the River is definitely worth adding to your calendar in 2023.
