They don’t make ‘em like they used to, so if you want to see how they used to make ‘em, you’d better get down to Murray Bridge Showground this weekend.

The Lower Murray Vintage Engine and Machinery Club will present its annual show and tractor pull on both Saturday and Sunday.

It’s a free event, so you’ve got no excuse to stay away – unless you plan on heading along to another one of the events listed below…

South Australian Road Race Championships, day one: From 9am at the Bend Motorsport Park, Tailem Bend. Continues Saturday and Sunday.

Mayor and CEO drop-in session: 3-4.30pm at Monteith Hall. Meet Murray Bridge Mayor Wayne Thorley and CEO Heather Barclay in an open and relaxed setting to discuss your ideas, concerns and aspirations.

Lower Murray Vintage Machinery Show and Tractor Pull: From 9.30am at Murray Bridge Showground. Vintage cars, stationary engines, farm machinery, blacksmithing displays, hay bailing and tractor events; food and drink, all day barbecue; free admission; continues Sunday.

Murraylands Fair: 10am-4pm at Sturt Reserve, Murray Bridge. Food, market stalls and fun, showcasing the very best handmade, homemade and unique wares from across the region.

Off Street Drags and Harley Davidson All Bike Show: From 10am at the Dragway at The Bend, Tailem Bend. Tickets: $25 at www.outix.co.

Youth Week Roll and Ride: 11am-4pm at Murray Bridge Skate Park. Get ready to roll, scoot, and pedal with expert skate, scoot, and BMX coaching sessions; groove to live music, sip on some smoothies and challenge yourself with a game of disc golf.
