Things to do in the Murraylands: August 14-20, 2026

Local halls are the flavour of the week if you’re looking for events in the Murraylands.

There’ll be some great entertainment at a few of them this weekend, including comedy at Brinkley, a social night at Monteith and a bridal fashion parade at the John Dohler.

That’s not to discount the big dogs of the public hall world, of course: there’ll be an important public meeting at Tailem Bend about medical services on Monday night, and a Tyndale school musical in Murray Bridge tonight and tomorrow.

Whichever venue you prefer, no doubt you’ll find something worth getting along to.

Envisage Families is a supportive peer program designed for parents of young children who have developmental concerns, a disability or who are neurodivergent. Brinkley All Stars Comedy Show: 6.30pm for 7pm at Brinkley Hall. Join us for an unforgettable evening of comedy with some of the very best from the South Australian comedy scene. River Murray football and netball: Tailem Bend v Ramblers at Jaensch Park, Tailem Bend; Mannum v Southern Mallee at Mannum Showground; Imperials v Jervois at Johnstone Park, Murray Bridge; Mypolonga v Mallee Districts at Mypolonga Memorial Oval.

Burnouts at the Bend: 9am-8pm at the Bend Motorsport Park, Tailem Bend. Join us for an action-packed day of tyre-thrashing skids and smoke shows galore for the whole family at the burnout pad. Racing commences at 10am. Tickets: $30/25 from outix.co.

Roll Racing: 5.30-11.30pm at the Bend Motorsport Park, Tailem Bend. Roll Racing is open to all types of vehicles from domestics, imports and exotic cars all battling it out under lights to see who really has a fast car.
