Old Murray Bridge will be shut this weekend
And on upcoming Tuesdays and Thursdays, the state Department for Infrastructure and Transport says.
The old Murray Bridge will be closed to all traffic this weekend as a long-running upgrade continues.
The bridge will close from:
- 8am-4pm this Saturday and Sunday, July 1-2
- 9.30am-2.30pm every Tuesday and Thursday from July 4 to August 17
- 8am-4pm on August 19-20
During closure times, motorists will need to detour via the Swanport Bridge.
The closures will allow workers to move stuff around as they continue a $46 million upgrade of the 1879 bridge that will make it useable for another 30 years.
