Police are investigating the theft of a tipper truck with a trailer, a bobcat and an excavator from a Murray Bridge work site.

The equipment was stolen around 4.40am on Tuesday from a site on Maurice Road.

The bobcat and excavator were found, having been fitted with GPS and subsequently located by police, on a property at Applegate Road, Moorlands.

A white 2011 Isuzu tipper truck and a dual axle dog trailer with ramps showing SA registration SY92FJ remain missing.

Anyone with information on the thefts or whereabouts of the stolen truck and trailer should contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report online at www.crimestopperssa.com.au

Man arrested after crashing stolen car at Monarto

Meanwhile, a driver has been arrested after crashing a stolen car at Monarto while allegedly attempting to evade police.

The driver, a 28-year-old man from Morphett Vale, was charged with illegal use of a motor vehicle, driving with unassigned plates, driving while disqualified and engaging in a police pursuit.

The grey Kia sedan, which had been reported stolen, was first spotted on Mawson Road, Meadows around 1.20am on Saturday.

After several pursuits, police successfully spiked the car’s tyres on Pallamana Road, Monarto, just after 3am.

The car left the road and collided with a tree.

The vehicle had been reported stolen from a Kilburn address on 16 June.

It was towed from the scene; its alleged driver was taken to the Murray Bridge hospital with a sore shoulder.

He was refused police bail and appeared in the Murray Bridge Magistrates Court on Monday.
