Callington man dies in workplace accident at Brinkley
Police and Safe Work SA are investigating the circumstances that led to a 29-year-old man’s death.
A 29-year-old Callington man has died in a workplace accident at Brinkley.
Emergency services were called to Mulch n More, on Baker Road, at 7.15am on Friday after a report that a man had been injured by heavy machinery.
The man was rushed to hospital but later died.
Police and Safe Work SA are now investigating the circumstances that led to the man’s death.
In a Facebook post on Friday night, the business’ owners said the accident had left them “deeply saddened and shocked”.
“This is a very distressing time for everyone involved and, as a small family-run business, we are grieving along with his loved ones,” they said.
“Counselling will be provided for staff, and we are doing what we can to support his family.
“We are assisting authorities (in their investigation).”
Mulch n More will remain closed for the time being while staff grieve.
