Murray Bridge Library launches new photography club
Murray Bridge News correspondent Glenn Power will share his tips through a new community group.

Creative journeys and storytelling are ahead for photography and film enthusiasts.
The Murray Bridge Library will launching a brand-new free community club this month.
Led by local photographer and Murray Bridge News correspondent Glenn Power, the library’s free Community Photography and Film Club is keen to gather ideas from the community.
Mr Power is a military-trained operational support photographer, and community minded photojournalist.
The club will hold two information sessions at 2pm and 5.30pm next Thursday, February 20 in the library’s meeting room.
The club aims to become a creative hub for the region, offering engaging lectures, workshops, and interesting field trips, along with casual walking and short-day trips all tailored to members goals and interests.
Whether you are a seasoned photographer, a budding filmmaker, or simply curious, the group is open to all levels.
"We really want to hear from the community about what they’d like to see and do in their club," Mr Power said.
“It’s about capturing stories through photography and film – and most importantly helping people express their creativity."

The club has big plans, from regular film screenings and discussions to short film-making workshops and photographic caption writing.
For those interested in publication, creative writing sessions will be scheduled to help develop the storytelling skills that go hand-in-hand with powerful photography.
With the support of Genuine Support Services Australia, the Rural City of Murray Bridge and the Murray Bridge Library, the group promises to become a cornerstone for artistic expression in the Murraylands.
Library team leader Tim Law said he was excited about the prospects of starting such a club.
“Libraries these days are more than just about books,” said Mr Law.
“We are thrilled to be working with Glenn Power to fulfil this community need.”
The club will be separate to the existing Murray Bridge Photography Club.
