Murray Bridge Christmas lights competition is now open for nominations
Residents and businesses have until November 24, 2023 to demonstrate their dedication to spreading joy this festive season.

Mayor Wayne Thorley expressed his excitement about the competition.

Whether youâre passionate about Christmas or eager to brighten up your neighbourhood, this competition offers the perfect platform to showcase your creativity and spread joy.

All properties within the Rural City of Murray Bridge local government area are eligible to enter, with one entry allowed per individual or group for each category.
Entries will be evaluated based on four key criteria:
- Presentation: general appearance, layout and design
- Light: use of colour, form and composition
- Creativity: innovation and passion
- Reflection of the Christmas seasonâs spirit
Entry forms and guidelines are now available at the local government centre and Murray Bridge Library, or online at www.murraybridge.sa.gov.au/christmaslights.
Nominations will close on Thursday, November 24.
Judging will take place from December 11-13.
Please note, a photograph of the display must be submitted along with the nomination form.
Winners will be announced at an award ceremony scheduled for Wednesday, December 20.
