The Mallee Districts Storm have defeated the Coorong Cats by eight goals to take out a second A-grade netball premiership.

The Cats had worked hard throughout the finals to face the Storm in the River Murray Netball Association grand final, at Imperials on Saturday.

Both teams came out firing in the first half, the Cats were a couple goals down in the first quarter but by half time the score was even.

This is when the Storm came out firing in the last half with accurate shooting and strong drives down the quart.

At the final whistle the score was 56-48, with Tenille Gray from the Storm getting best on court.

Storm co-captain Georgia Ballard said thanked the Cats for a great hit-out.

"We also want to thank our supporters and everyone who came out today," she said.

She then passionately thanked her team with a couple of colourful words in celebration.
