Liberal MP Tony Pasin pledges 400k to Players and Singers
The Liberal party will help with the redevelopment of the Murray Bridge Players and Singers’ Short Street premises, if elected on May 3.

The Liberal Party will spend $400,000 to help upgrade the local theatre group if it wins the upcoming federal election.
Mr Pasin said he was pleased to secure funding for the organisation that would ensure the facility is fit for purpose over the next few years.
“Murray Bridge Players and Singers has been an important part of the community for over four decades and this funding will see the building upgraded to provide a more functional creative space for decades to come,” Mr Pasin said.
Earlier this month Murray Bridge Players and Singers put a call out to secure funding for the redevelopment project.
Plans for redevelopment include:
- Kitchenette
- Additional rehearsal room
- Professional quality sprung dance floor
- Sound and video system
- Wall mirrors
- Curtains.
“Community organisations like Murray Bridge Players and Singers offer community connection, social engagement and improved wellbeing for members of all ages,” Mr Pasin said.
"Supporting them is supporting the future of the Murraylands."
Recently the Liberal government also committed $100,000 to upgrading the Tailem Bend RSL.
Over the past three years the government has failed to fund and support grassroot community organisations, Mr Pasin said.
The Liberal party believes that investing in regional Australia gives back to the powerhouse of our economy, he said.
"Vibrant regional communities are the lifeblood of our nation."
“This includes supporting the regional arts, cultural, sporting and recreational pursuits to foster and enhance community wellbeing,” said Mr Pasin.
The federal election is to be held on May 3.
