Imperials netball club to enjoy finished court upgrades
The Murray Bridge Imperials Netball club are exciting to be coming back to their home grounds, mid-way through the season.

Upgrades to the Imperials Netball Club home grounds has finished and the players are more than happy to make their way back to Johnstone Park.
The facilities were able to undergo renovations thanks to the successful Play Our Way program grant of $828,669.70
This project facilitated a major court refurbishment, providing three safe playing surfaces for players and officials, and:
- New shelters
- Installation of lighting
- Fencing
- Upgraded seating
The Imperial Netball Club committee are thrilled with the upgrade and look forward to welcoming the netball and wider community back to its new facilities.
The club is one of 290 organisations around the nation selected to received the funding for much needed equipment for women and girls.
Other clubs in the Murraylands included the Jervois netball club and Murraylands Gymnastic academy.
The club said they were thankful for thankful for the opportunity through the Play Our Way funding.
"To undertake a project of such magnitude, which will safeguard netball in our community by providing a safe and welcoming playing space.
"We would like to extend our gratitude to local contractors who worked closely with the Club and completed the project to such a high standard, the outcome is a fantastic facility that will provide much enjoyment for many years to come," they said.
Many of the projects receiving funding target women and girls who face additional barriers to participation in sport and physical activity.
This includes women and girls who have a disability, live in regional or remote areas of Australia, are First Nations people or are from culturally diverse communities.
The Murray Bridge Imperial Netball Club is thrilled to confirm the project is now complete and look forward to returning to its new facilities.
They welcoming all players and officials across the River Murray Netball Association, their families and supporters back to the Club’s home ground at Johnstone Park.
