Buy a pack and give back to drought affected farmers
Local business, Woodland Orchard is teaming up with a rural support organisation to help farmers in need.

A local agribusiness is helping bring delicious meals made and locally produced into the hands of families doing it tough.
Woodlane Orchard is teaming up with Rural Business Support to bring comfort to drought-impacted farming families across South Australia.
Woodlane Orchard turns surplus and second-grade produce, purchased straight from farms, into eco-conscious, shelf-stable meals.
Being a farmers daughter herself Woodlane Orchard owner, Kelly Johnson, remembers times when they were doing it tough.
"My heart goes out to families at the moment who are going through (the drought)," she said.
Ms Johnson didn't have much money to give herself but she knew through her business she might be able to help out where she can.
Each $50 pack includes:
- Apricot Curry
- Chow Mein
- Savoury Rice
- Apricot Rice Pudding
- Apple Slices

The whole process is done through Rural Business Support who collect the packs and distribute them.
"This gives Rural Business support something concrete to hand out to families," Ms Johnson said.
"Everything in that box is made from surplus produce, putting dollars into farmers hands in the first place.
"So we're putting the food back to the farmers... it's sort of a farmer to farmer project," she said.
