What's on this week: October 16-22, 2020
Murray Bridge's richest horse race is about to be run, and two local trainers are in with a shot.

A strong crowd is expected at Gifford Hill this Friday for the running of Murray Bridge’s richest horse race: the Gold Cup.
Local trainers are expected to make up a quarter of the runners in the $100,000 race.
Michael Hickmott will have the favourite, Aqueduct, pictured, and top-weighted Danon Roman; while Grant Young will field Neva Doubt Us and Exalted Ruth.
In all, Murray Bridge Racing Club received 181 nominations for the nine races scheduled.
Spectators will be able to take in the event from marquees, trackside lawns or the event centre, but COVID-19 regulations will necessitate some minor changes from previous years.
Most importantly, anyone planning to attend will need to purchase a ticket ahead of time.
