Weapon and drugs seized from man in Murray Bridge pub

A Ridgehaven man has been arrested after being found in possession of a folding knife and illicit drugs at Murray Bridge on Tuesday.
Just before 11pm on November 11, police were called out to a hotel on Bridge Street, after a man was reported acting suspiciously in the gaming room.
Patrols spoke to the 20-year-old man who was searched and allegedly had a folding knife and cocaine in his satchel.
He was arrested and charged with allegedly carrying an offensive weapon in a licensed premises and was bailed to appear in court.
He was issued with a drug diversion for possession of a controlled drug.
Reckless rider reported 60km/h over speed limit

A motorbike rider has lost his licence after he was caught travelling 60 kilometres an hour over the speed limit in Murray Bridge on Sunday.
Just after 10.30pm on November 9, a Murray Bridge patrol was travelling on Maurice Road when they were overtaken by a Honda sports bike travelling 120 km/h in a 60 km/h zone.
Police did not pursue the motorcycle and subsequently attended a nearby home where they located the bike and rider.
Checks later revealed, the 22-year-old driver was the holder of a learner's permit.
He was reported for allegedly riding at an extreme speed and breaching the conditions of his licence.

Murray Bridge police tackle drug challenges at community forum
Around 35 people attended the public engagement forum (PACE) held by Murray Bridge Police, focusing on drug use in the community.
On Wednesday 29 October, locals got the opportunity to listen to a variety of presentations surrounding the harm of illicit drugs on the mind, body and community.
They also heard how SAPOL are combatting this issue.
The highlight of the evening was listening to an inspiring true-life story from a community member discussing her battles with addiction and how she is in recovery and assisting the public in this field.

Over 1000 people tuned into the Murray Bridge News Facebook livestream at various stages of the evening.
A number of service providers were also in attendance, including Crime Stoppers SA, Headspace, iREACH, Family Drug Support and Ngarrindjeri Regional Authority.
