Voting opens for SA’s 2025 agricultural town of the year
Will Murray Bridge, Mannum or Mypolonga take out a spot in the finalist list this year?

It's that time of the year again when selected towns in South Australia are nominated to be included in the Ag town of the year awards.
This year we see three major local towns included in the list of 97 nominees: Murray Bridge, Mannum and Mypolonga.
Could Mypolonga snag the title again, since it's big win back in 2022?
Each town is recognised for their strength, spirit, and significance of agriculture in their local communities.
Now, it’s up to the public to help determine which towns will progress to the next stage.
Voting is open until Friday June 20, with the top ten towns receiving the most votes moving forward in the competition and announced in late June.
Other nominees in the surrounding areas include:
- Palmer
- Meningie
- Lameroo
- Pinnaroo
- Tintinara
- Coonalpyn
Minister for Primary Industries and Regional Development, Clare Scriven said regional towns are the heart of our state.
"(They) drive innovation, food production and economic strength across the board."
This is a fantastic way to celebrate these communities and acknowledge the incredible role they play in our prosperity, she said.
"I encourage everyone to get involved and vote for the town they believe best represents the values, innovation and resilience of our regional areas."
Last year, 73 towns were nominated and more than 3,600 votes were cast by the public, the winner being Penola.
The top ten towns will then be invited to submit a written submission to an independent judging panel.
From this group, three finalists will be selected for town visits before the ultimate winner is crowned later in the year.
