Cars and Coffee Murray Bridge has had a great turnout and fantastic weather for a 100th birthday celebration on Sunday.

The group had three vehicles that had turned 100 years old: Eric Wehrman’s green Chevrolet tourer, Trevor Wehrman’s blue Chevrolet light truck and Peter and Marianne Lawson’s red Chevrolet Superior series K truck.

More than 200 cars attended, and the group even had a special visit from some ambulance officers.

Around 400 people came to see the amazing collection of cars.

There were 100th birthday balloons and cupcakes for the celebration, too.

The blue light truck took four years to restore, and the owner, Trevor Wehrman, did all the work himself.

The history of the car is his dad’s family history on the driver’s side of the truck and his mum’s family history on the passenger side of the truck, as both families were market gardeners.

The colour is blue because of his wife’s eyes and the bonnet emblem is because Mr Wehrman is very proud of his four daughters and their sporting achievements.

The blue light truck has been running amazingly for six years and event organiser Joanne Lovell was lucky enough to have a passenger run around Sturt Reserve in it after the event.

Ninety-five-year-old Eric Wehrman, Trevor’s dad, has the green tourer which he has owned for most of his life.

When he retired he went on many adventures with his wife and his beloved tourer, and later the whole family

In their wooden-wheeled cars, the family went on many an adventure, including to Alice Springs.

The red Super K truck drove from Mannum on Sunday morning.

Mr and Mrs Lawson, the owners, are very proud of their vehicle and were also dressed to impress.

They have only owned the truck for a couple of years but absolutely love going on daily drives in the beautifully presented 100-year-old vehicle.

Tune in next time for more cars’ birthdays
