West Broken Hill and Murray Bridge football teams face off

The West Broken Hill team, which has been touring South Australia and part of Victoria, spent a week at Murray Bridge.

This is the third occasion on which the West team has favoured us with their presence, and once again a word of praise is due to 'the manner in which the personnel of the club deported themselves, both on and off the field.'

The West Broken Hill 14.16 ended up defeating Murray Bridge 8.13.

Mannum carnival a success

The Mannum carnival was advanced to another stage on Saturday, when a picnic race meeting was held in ideal weather.

The race attracted a record attendance, the course was on the property of Mr E O Male (kindly lent for the ocasion) was in splendid condition.

The conduct of the meeting reflected the great work done by the officials responsible.

Local court cases will be more than interesting

The sitting of the local court at Murray Bridge on Monday, in conjunction with the police court cases, will be more than ordinarily interesting.

There are several contested cases under civil jurisdiction listed for hearing, and also a maintenance case.

The police court cases include six prosecutions by the Corporation of Murray Bridge in connection with the electric lighting system
