Get ready to start your engines, folks, because the wait is over – the OTR Super Sprint is on this weekend at the Bend Motorsport Park.

The three-day event will span Friday to Sunday, featuring two days of Supercars racing and a line-up of support categories, including the Haltech SuperUte Series, Historic Group N Invitational, Porsche Paynter Dixon Carrera Cup and more.

In other areas of sport, Tailem Bend will also host the first sessions of Netball on the Road in the Murraylands this Wednesday night.

Meanwhile, the Mypo Tigers will hold the opening of their new caravan in conjunction with their Back to Mypo reunion event on Saturday, while the Ramblers’ Progressive Dinner is back by popular demand for Saturday night.

OTR SuperSprint driver meet and greet: 10-10.45am at Optus Murray Bridge. If you are in town for the OTR Super Sprint at the Bend or you are a fan of Supercars, head down to Optus Murray Bridge to meet Walkinshaw Andretti driver, 2021 Bathurst 1000 champion and Optus ambassador Chaz Mostert and get an autograph.

The future of the main streets of Tailem Bend: 4-5pm at Tailem Bend Town Hall. As part of the Coorong District Council’s streetscapes project, the council is seeking locals’ suggestions on how to improve the towns’ main streets. Back to Mypo and new caravan opening day: join the Mypo Tigers as they open the new caravan at Tigerland and celebrate the team’s sponsors, members, life members, and current and past players. Progressive Dinner with the Ramblers: 6.30pm at the Rambler Clubrooms, leaving for 7pm. Join the Roosters as they visit three places in one night for this foodie crawl. Ella and Sienna: 7-10pm at the Callington Recreation Community Centre. Straight from their smashing appearance on The Voice and the release of their single ‘Next to Mine’, the pair will be bringing their mix of pop, folk and country. National Tree Day with Friends of the Coorong: 10am at Parnka Point Picnic area. Join the Friends of the Coorong this weekend to celebrate National Tree Day. To enhance the landscape and provide a greater habitat for Neophema parrots, a range of low growing bushes and grasses have been selected for planting.
