It’s going to be a fiery and creative weekend in the Murraylands, with a couple of big, family-friendly events on.

Murray Bridge High School will host something called the Bridge Bricks Expo on both Saturday and Sunday, showcasing Lego creations by newcomers, experienced modellers and everyone in between.

Bridge Burlesque’s Saturday night performance has been sold out almost since it was announced, but tickets were still available for a 2pm matinee at the time of publication, so if you’d like to see some entrancing dance while supporting the National Breast Cancer Foundation, that will be the place to be.

Then, on Saturday night, Murray Bridge’s Diamond Park will light up for the second edition of the city’s Glows festival, with fewer LEDs and more fire than last time.

Between that and everything else going on, and in mostly lovely weather, it would be hard to justify staying home...
