Next week it is back to school – cue a collective sight of relief from parents far and wide – and the library will host its last school holiday activity, a screening of The Bad Guys this Friday morning.

On Saturday, the Murray Bridge Regional Gallery will host the first workshop of a series called Art + Place, led by South Australian artists Tom Borgas and Paul Gazzola, providing a unique opportunity to expand their artistic endeavours and flair.

A transporter parade will once again grace the streets of Tailem Bend.

On Wednesday night, Nic Newling will host his talk “Speaking of mental health…” at the Murray Bridge RSL for those interested in learning more about the topic and how it affects everyone.

Don’t forget that Murray Bridge Regional Gallery will be open late on Friday and Saturday nights until July 31, too.

Art + Place series workshop one: 10am-3pm at the Murray Bridge Regional Gallery. These workshops offer regionally based creatives working across a range of mediums a rare opportunity to further develop their skills. Led by South Australian artists Tom Borgas and Paul Gazzola (OSCA Artistic Director). Tickets are $15 toward a simple shared lunch. Participants must be 16 and over. In celebration of the OTR Supersprint Repco Supercars Championships at The Bend Motorsport Park, the Supercars B-Doubles will once again hit the streets of Tailem Bend. Joining them will be the local classic cars from the Tailem Bend Auto Club

Speaking of mental health … with Nic Newling: 6pm for dinner (optional, at own expense) for a 7pm start at the Murray Bridge RSL. Nic is an advocate for mental health suicide prevention and sharing personal stories. Since experiencing his own mood disorder during high school and losing his brother to suicide, he has dedicated his life to changing the way society addresses mental illness.
