Two teenaged boys have been arrested after a number of cars were broken into in Murray Bridge’s west early on Wednesday morning.

Police received calls from residents on Ian Douglas Court and Janice Street just after midnight.

A patrol spotted the two 16-year-olds running along Todd Avenue.

Officers arrested the pair and charged them with breaching their bail and illegally interfering with motor vehicles.

They were expected to face court in Murray Bridge on Wednesday, while investigators were expected to visit the scene.

Police urged residents in the area to check their cars and report any damage by calling 131 444.

Three picked up for traffic offences

Meanwhile, traffic police have reported three motorists for offences in the Murraylands over the weekend.

Two were allegedly caught drink driving on the Princes Highway at Tailem Bend: a 43-year-old Tea Tree Gully Man who allegedly blew 0.083 on Friday, and a 57-year-old Jervois man who allegedly returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.086 on Sunday.

Each lost his licence for six months on the spot and will face court.

Murray Bridge police allegedly picked up a 41-year-old man for driving while disqualified on the Princes Highway at White Hill on Sunday.

A court appearance will be in his future, too.
