Concordia Kindergarten celebrated a massive birthday milestone on Sunday, August 10 in the Murray Bridge community.
Families and friends of the kindy gathered to appreciate the preschools work and support in the last half-century.
Kindergarten director Carrie Gallasch said there's something really special about Concordia Kindergarten.
Many kids that attend the kindy have parents that also went to preschool here, she said.
"It's unique, loving and we pride ourselves on the standard of education we're able to provide.
"Looking around today, so many people have returned to help us celebrate.
"It's about the legacy and future."
The goal is to be a kindy for all with high levels of love, education and care, she said.
Ms Gallasch cut the ribbon and sliced the cake, opening the new wooden beams in honour of the kindy's 50th birthday.
