A state MP has officially opened an exhibition by community group Bridge Arts for the 2026 SALA Festival.
Robert Roylance did the honours at Murray Bridge Marketplace on Friday for Artistic Intelligence, a showcase of more than 40 works by Bridge Arts members.
Exhibition coordinator Di Dawson invited everyone in the community to come and take a look between 11am and 3pm every day until next Monday, August 17.
The decision to name the exhibition something that sounded like “AI” had been intentionally provocative, she suggested.
“From my understanding, AI can be a useful tool and can inspire new ideas,” she said.
“However, it cannot replace the heart and soul of human creativity.
“This exhibition reflects the delicate balance of human thought, skill, expression and wonder, qualities that have shaped art across centuries as a true form of original intelligence.”
