The Murray Bridge Social Garden Group has held another successful meeting at the Johnstone Park club rooms last month.

A total of 45 people were welcomed to the meeting to talk all things gardening.

The guest speaker of the day was Barrie Williams from the Murraylands and Riverland Landscape Board.

Mr Williams started his excellent educational talk on soil basics, things to
consider in the garden, compost making, bio-fertilizers, and mulches.

Then shifted into problems that can occur, ways to use compost, worm farming, vermicast, microbes, weeds, and handy resources.

This was an excellent look at all aspects of gardening, thank you Mr Williams.

On October 18 there will be a mystery garden outing at the club rooms from 9am.

Everyone is asked to please bring a chair, cup and a lap lunch.

The next meeting will be a special general meeting on November 1 at 9.45am to pass the constitution.

After that the normal meeting will occur at Johnston Park club rooms.

The club's guest speaker for November will be John Zwar, who will show
unseen slides from his last visit with the latest information.

Everyone is welcome for good fun, good fellowship and good gardening.
