Police are on the lookout for the owners of a defibrillator found in Murray Bridge last Wednesday, August 27.

A member of the public located the defib on Mulgundawah Road, and is hoping the owner will come forward to collect the life saving device.

Police urge anyone who has access to a defibrillator, whether it be in your business, vehicle or shopping centre, to check your stocks and reach out if one is missing.

Proof of ownership is needed to claim the instrument.

Police and SAAS urge anyone who has a defibrillator to record the serial number and location of the instrument on the defibrillator register.

In the early hours of September 2, a 44-year-old woman from Pennington was stopped on Adelaide Road.

At around 12.56am the vehicle was allegedly seen using the drivers side high-beam and no other lights.

The women allegedly returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.202 - more than four times the legal limit.

She was arrested for using headlights on high-beam when not permitted, drink driving and driving disqualified.

Her vehicle was impounded for 28 days and she will attend court later today.

Other traffic offenders

  • On Friday August 29, a 48-year-old man from Jervois was stopped on Travena Road, Tailem Bend when he allegedly recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.125; he was reported for drink driving, lost his license and had his car impounded.
  • On Sunday August 31, a 20-year-old man from Murray Bridge was stopped on a Kawasaki motorcycle on Lincoln Road, Murray Bridge when he allegedly recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.046 and was driving unlicenced; he was issued an expiation notice for drink driving and reported for licence offences.
  • On Sunday August 31, a 25-year-old woman from Murray Bridge was stopped on Monarto Road, Rocky Gully when she allegedly recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.086; she was reported for drink driving, lost her licence and car was impounded.
