This area indeed a hidden gem. However walkers should be made aware of the presence of large tiger snakes populating the area in the warmer weather. If observed it is strongly suggested to move away and not to approach these snakes who can become quite aggressive if annoyed.
This area is actually in the Yiddinga Swamp area, as Monteith swamp does not commence until the other side of Bell's Landing at Monteith Flats. Yiddinga Swamp extends from the Swanport Road Bridge up to the bottom of McRae Road Monteith.
