Get out your shiniest shoes and your brightest fascinators, because tomorrow is Gold Cup day.

For more racing, cruise down to Murray Bridge Speedway for the track championships this Saturday night.

Among all this, you’ll need to relax and recharge, so grab a new collection of reads at a mega pre-loved book sale being hosted by the Friends of the Murray Bridge Library.

Just outside the Bridge, treat yourself to a Monarto Safari Park nature walk, or kick back with a glass of vino and a sharp cheddar to watch Ella and Sienna perform at Mypo.

Meet the Murray Bridge council candidates: 5-7pm at the Bridgeport Hotel, Murray Bridge. A casual get-together in the lounge at the Bridgeport Hotel, with a brief introduction to each candidate from Murray Bridge News managing editor Peri Strathearn.

The Rain Maker: 7pm at Tailem Bend Football Club. This stage show is about two young footy players and their coach, and the struggles they each face. Nature therapy – forest bathing and animal observation: 8.15-10.30am at Monarto Safari Park. Slow down, chill out and get back in touch with nature during a guided forest bathing and animal observation experience. Enjoy the park before the general public. The walk will conclude at the famous Waterhole platform where you can watch the giraffe roam. After, explore the safari park at your own leisure. Members are $125, non-members are $155.
