Hannah Smith wins a Fringe award for Bimbo
The Murray Bridge producer has received the 2023 Holden Street Theatre’s Adelaide Fringe Award.
Hannah Smith and her team behind the Fringe show Bimbo have received the 2023 Holden Street Theatre’s Adelaide Fringe Award.
Through songs of hope, lust, love, anger and pain, Bimbo tries to convey what it’s like to be a woman and explores feminism, female sexuality and queerness.
The company Presented by Hannah Smith had been developing Bimbo in Murray Bridge for the past three years and performed it here during the Murray Bridge Fringe.
Amelia Rooney wrote and directed Bimbo.
The Presented by Hannah Smith Facebook page thanked various people who had contributed to the show’s success, including the Murray Bridge Performing Arts and Function Centre, where Bimbo was performed.
