A Murray Bridge teenager is fighting for life after a road accident in Renmark on Sunday night.
The 16-year-old boy was at the wheel of a Ford sedan – not pictured – which hit a light pole, flipped and landed in a front yard on Renmark Avenue just before 2.30am on Monday.
The boy and one of his passengers, a 24-year-old Berri man, were taken to the Berri hospital with life-threatening injuries and airlifted to the Royal Adelaide Hospital later in the day.
Another passenger, an 18-year-old man from Berri, received minor injuries.
SA Police allege that the car was stolen in Renmark shortly before the crash.
Later on Monday morning, they arrested the 18-year-old and charged him with illegal use of a motor vehicle.
He will face court in Berri in September.
Correction: The 18-year-old was arrested on Monday, not Tuesday. Photo: SA Police.
