Jervois man survives crash between car, semi-trailer

A Jervois man is lucky to be alive after a road crash at Murray Bridge North on Monday night.

The 60-year-old man was critically injured when a station wagon collided with a semi-trailer at the intersection of Mannum Road and Reedy Creek Road around 9pm.

He was airlifted to the Royal Adelaide Hospital and described as being in a “serious but non-life-threatening” condition on Tuesday morning.

The wagon’s driver, a 63-year-old Jervois woman, and the truck’s driver, a 50-year-old man from Victoria, received only minor injuries.

Murray Mallee police are investigating the cause of the accident.

They asked anyone who witnessed the crash, or who might have dash camera footage of either vehicle, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or at www.crimestopperssa.com.au.
