The first swimming club formed in 1959-1960 was known as the GOLDEN CARPS and John O'Donnell was the coach. I was a member of this club and the Water Ballet team who under Eunice O'Donnell trained at the pool and also competed at the Adelaide City Baths. A lot of fun and history there.

I can remember going "to the pool" as a kid (circa 1970)...for 5 cents, a "Choo-Choo bar and a Sunny Boy" was a treat from the pool's canteen 😊
