A driver has been fined $1814 after allegedly being caught speeding at Wellington.

Police allegedly clocked the man's Holden station wagon travelling at 155 kilometres per hour in a 100 zone on Langhorne Creek Road.

They pulled him over just after 1.30pm.

As well as the fine, the 57-year-old from Moana was disqualified from driving for six months.
