Old Murray Bridge will close every Tuesday and Thursday for five weeks
New closures have been announced for the road bridge, starting next week.
The old Murray Bridge will close every Tuesday and Thursday for the next five weeks, the state Department of Infrastructure and Transport has announced.
The main road bridge between the two sides of town will shut between 9.30am and 2.30pm every Tuesday and Thursday until April 13.
Workers will use the time to dismantle and store scaffolding, excavate for new electrical and stormwater systems, and repair the roadway.
The closures will come in addition to those which are continuing every night this week between 7pm and 6am.
Work on the bridge is still scheduled to be finished in late 2023.
