NBN wireless network upgrades may affect Murray Bridge locals
Homes and small businesses in the area may experience impacts to their internet service over the coming weeks.
Planned outages may impact the ability of people in the area around Murray Bridge to access NBN wireless internet over the next few weeks.
Work is about to start on the NBN fixed wireless tower at Northern Heights to provide access to faster speeds and extended coverage.
The upgrades to the NBN fixed line include new technology and hardware replacements on their fixed wireless towers.
Naomi Read, head of NBN local SA, said the upgrades here and elsewhere would be a game-changer for up to a million households and businesses across Australia.
“These tower works are critical to the delivery of our program but will mean some planned outages that may affect homes and businesses and their ability to use their NBN service while the work is underway,” she said.
Once complete, she said, faster download speeds would become available during busy periods.
The tower works will not impact NBN fixed line or NBN Sky Muster satellite users.
