Murray Bridge Fringe is back for 2021

The Murray Bridge Fringe is back and again will be held for three days and nights from Friday, February 26 until Sunday, February 28.

Thirteen different performances will be presented across four venues and will include visual arts, music, street theatre, comedy, family, circus and cabaret.

Choose from a variety of shows at the Murray Bridge Town Hall, Murray Bridge Regional Gallery, Murray Bridge Library and Sixth Street, Murray Bridge.

Helpless: the songs of Neil Young

8pm Friday, February 26 at The Hall (Murray Bridge Town Hall)

Helpless will be returning to the Adelaide Fringe Festival with their much-loved tribute to the songs of Neil Young. The band pays homage to some of Neil Young’s most celebrated songs. Expect arrangements that hold true to the original works: four part harmonies, banjos, wailing guitars, harmonicas - no mimicry, just genuine passion for timeless music. Amazing Drumming Monkeys

The Amazing Drumming Monkeys have been wowing audiences around Australia and internationally for the past 17 years. Although the show is for little kids, it has something for everyone: cute and funny monkeys for kids, hilarious comedy for adults, funky live drumming for all ages, and a message for the world. Disney Delights

Be taken on a magical, musical journey through the biggest and best Disney songs, from Mary Poppins to Frozen! Relive all your favourite enchanting songs performed by Benjamin Maio Mackay (Great Detectives) and Laura Desmond (Socially [Un]acceptable) in this family friendly affair. First Nations Voices

Join Glenn Skuthorpe, Russell Smith and special guests, Australia’s sought-after First Nation musicians, for a musical experience that transcends time and showcases a chronicle of life and culture. It’s a fire circle, fueling the mosaic of our sacred land and bringing it home, blending bold and powerful stories that will ring on for generations to come. Artists come together for an unforgettable act, an infusion of nomadic soul, wide open plains, colourful urban street blues and traditional rock. Safe Space

Safe Space is a major touring exhibition of contemporary sculpture, showcasing the works of 12 acclaimed Australian artists: Abdul-Rahman Abdullah, Alex Seton, Claire Healy and Sean Cordeiro, David Cross, Franz Ehmann, Karla Dickens, Keg de Souza, Michelle Nikou, Rosie Miller, Tim Sterling and Will French. Featuring a diversity of sculptural materials, techniques and scales, Safe Space explores different notions of space – abstract or real, physical, psychological, political and social – to spark the viewer’s curiosity. Many of the works take as their point of departure the human body: its dimensions, the spaces it occupies, the narratives that contain it and the theatre or spectacle that unfolds around it.

After a sold out season at Edinburgh Fringe, this silly circus adventure is back with non-stop giggles for kids aged 3-7! The Great British Pub Singalong

Travelers to the British Isles always reminisce about the brilliant pub atmosphere, where a sing song can strike up at any moment. A guitar or a fiddle will appear, and before you know it, the whole pub is joining in. This is the type of atmosphere that will be generated and you can choose to be either in Team Ireland, Scotland, England or Wales! If you've ever seen a Chas and Dave concert, or watched the World Champion Darts final, you'll notice that the fans all participate with singing and good natured banter. Similarly, there will be fun dart games throughout this show (with some prizes and gentle rivalry thrown in) and then the audience will decide which country won the best song of the night. Booing will not be allowed. Only laughing and frivolity from the best entertainers in Oz!

Frolic and Follies

A contemporary twist on the phenomenon of the Ziegfeld Follies, serving up spectacular acts of dance, cabaret, comedy and more. A visual feast of colour and parades of girls bringing together a celebration of the female body, dripping in sequins and feathers with some serious sass to match. A night of huge hits and high kicks not to be missed!
