Callington P-plater done for speeding
Plus four teenagers are arrested for theft, a couple escape injury in a freeway accident and traffic police pick up one more driver.

A Callington P-plater has been banned from driving after allegedly being caught speeding more than 50 kilometres per hour over the limit in a defective vehicle.
Police pulled over the 20-year-old’s Holden Commodore wagon on Callington Road, Strathalbyn around 5pm on Sunday.
They had allegedly clocked him at 134km/h in an 80 zone.
When they inspected his car, officers allegedly found his tyres were worn down to the steel belts and one wheel was missing a wheel nut.
The driver was reported for aggravated speeding, disqualified from driving for six months, and had the Commodore impounded for 28 days.
SA Police warned that they would continue to target dangerous driving, including speeding, one of the five most common causes of fatal and serious crashes on South Australian roads.
Teenagers arrested over car theft
Meanwhile, police have arrested four teenagers over the theft of a ute in Murray Bridge on Monday night.
The white Isuzu dual cab ute was reported stolen from a property on Kintore Avenue around 8.15pm.
Just before 8.30pm, another caller told police it had crashed into a fence on Gladstone Avenue, then driven off.
Officers spotted it on Brinkley Road; caught up with it on Frank Court, near the golf course; and arrested its four occupants.
The alleged driver, a 19-year-old local man, was charged with serious criminal trespassing, illegal use of a motor vehicle, driving without due care and contravening the conditions of his learner’s permit after allegedly testing positive for cannabis; he was denied bail ahead of a court appearance on Tuesday.
The three passengers – a man, 19, a Christies Beach boy, 16, and a Woodcroft girl, 14 – were each charged with illegal use of a vehicle and resisting police.
The girl was also charged with breaching bail, and was denied it ahead of a youth court appearance on Tuesday.
The others were bailed and will face court in October and November.
Couple escape injury in freeway crash
Two people aged in their 60s have managed to avoid physical injury after crashing their car and caravan on the South Eastern Freeway on Saturday.
The couple's SsangYong SUV jackknifed at St Ives, heading towards Murray Bridge, around 12.30pm.
Police believed inclement weather may have been a factor in the accident.

Driver had never held a licence
Only one other driver has been picked up on the Murraylands’ roads over the weekend.
A 28-year-old Murray Bridge man was stopped on Montgomery Avenue on Friday after police judged his vehicle to be unroadworthy.
A check allegedly revealed he had never held a driver’s licence.
Officers defected his vehicle and charged him with driving while unlicensed.
Watch out for speed cameras this Sunday
Finally, Murraylands motorists are urged to stick to the speed limit this Sunday, when Murray Mallee traffic police will be out and about with their detectors in hand.
