A massive auction will be held at the Murray Bridge Church of Christ this Saturday with funds supporting the church's youth program and vulnerable community members.

A family fun day will also be part of the Big Bid Auction, with a free bouncy castle, face painting, $10 Harley rides and more.

The day will start at 10am with the auction kicking of around 11:30am, on April 12 at 32 Seven Street.

Youth leader and event organiser Jonathon Matthews said he hopes to raise around $20,000 from the day.

Half of the money raised will go towards people in the community who are experiencing cost of living pressures.

"Food, clothing, it's just to help the general community out especially coming into cooler weather," Mr Mathews said.

In the past the church hasn't had the funds to be able to provide meals and clothing to the community so this will be a big help, he said.

Another ten percent will be going to Australia HOPE international and the other majority to the youth program run by the church.

"It's for a good cause, it's not money for the church... it's to help the community."

"If you can change one person's life it's worth it."

An array of antiques, electrical, household items and more are up for grabs in the auction including two quad bikes.

The church are still searching for more items to be donated, so remember to check the back of your sheds or inside your home for possible donations.
