Search for missing Mypolonga man called off
Police have been unable to find a missing man at Ngarkat Conservation Park.

Police will focus on other avenues of investigation after calling off a search for a missing man at Ngarkat Conservation Park.
Steven Bailey, 62, of Mypolonga, was last seen leaving his Lobethal workplace about 3pm on Friday, February 28.
On Sunday his gold Hyundai Elantra was located abandoned on the West Boundary Track at Ngarkat Conservation Park.
SA Police officers spent five days searching the nearby scrub using horses, drones and a helicopter equipped with a thermal imaging camera, in concert with State Emergency Service volunteers.
They also checked out tracks and other areas of scrub throughout the park.
But after another unsuccessful day on Thursday, investigators made the decision to call off the search.
Police Superintendent Cindy Healey thanked everyone who had helped look for Mr Bailey so far.
“The efforts of those involved in the search over the past week have been exhaustive,” she said.
“The terrain we have been searching has been dense and difficult to search.
“I am certain that all of the area accessible to the search team by air and foot has been searched.
“However, I won’t rule out the possibility of searching this area again if further information is provided which hasn’t been available to us at this time.”

Investigators will now review all the information they have available and try to identify any other means of locating the missing man.
Steven Bailey has a slim build with grey hair and a goatee.
At the time he was last seen, he was wearing a beige T-shirt, long pants and one thong.
Anyone who spots him or has information on his whereabouts should contact the police assistance line immediately on 131 444, and quote reference number 59133.
