Lime Cordiale will headline Squeeze ‘Freshtival’ on Murray Bridge's riverfront
The ARIA award-winning pop-rockers will headline a massive line-up at Sturt Reserve in 2022.
One of the biggest concert tours in Australia will come to Murray Bridge’s riverfront next year.
Tickets are now on sale for the Squeeze “Freshtival”, headlined by ARIA award-winning pop-rockers Lime Cordiale.
The band was voted Australia’s best live act at this year’s ARIAs, and landed five tracks in the top half of Triple J’s Hottest 100 back in January.
The festival’s star-studded lineup will also feature singer-songwriter Thelma Plum, indie pop duo Client Liaison, Wollongong rock band the Vanns, teenaged alt-pop star Merci Mercy and pop quartet Teenage Dads.
“It’s crazy to think how the Squeeze has grown from an indoor event to a major outdoor national festival for its third year,” Lime Cordiale members Oli and Louis Leimbach told Moshtix.
“After the industry has been hit so hard, it’s a great feeling to know that we’re pulling this off.
“We share a great vision with Chugg Music to be able to achieve something more than just making records.
“This project is for the music industry and the hungry music lovers.”
Murray Bridge Mayor Brenton Lewis described the event as a chance to showcase the Murraylands to visitors from around South Australia and the nation.
“We pride ourselves on being an event destination of choice," he said.
“Our team has worked hard to bring a COVID-safe event that will spark economic activation for local businesses from hospitality, to retail and tourism.”
Squeeze will not be the only music festival to take place at Sturt Reserve in 2022.
Another major event, Country by the River, was originally scheduled for this October, but ended up being postponed until next March.
