Life Through the Lens: Life’s air conditioner
God’s love is like a reverse-cycle air conditioner, writes Kevin Schrapel.

Air conditioners bring change to make life more enjoyable.
They warm when the temperature is cold and cool when things get overheated.
Jesus came to bring change and let people know the warmth of God’s love.
Air from an air conditioner affects all the air in the room – not one part is unaffected, even if one cannot see the air getting cooler or warmer.
The difference is something felt, a change to all it touches.
For more than 2000 years, there have been few records of people seeing the person of Jesus, but the effect of his love has touched and has changed countless lives around the world.
The air temperature is changed, and everything the air comes in contact with is changed.
Only something locked away and hidden is not touched by the warming or cooling air and remains unchanged.
Sadly, for whatever reason, some lock themselves away from the touch, the change, God’s love could bring into their lives.
God’s love, through Jesus, warms and can also cool a heated situation.
His love can also cool tempers and angry thoughts, words and actions.
His word tells us, “a gentle response defuses anger, but a sharp tongue kindles a temper-fire” (Proverbs 15:1).
Neither you nor I can reach the controls of God’s love.
He turned it on at the beginning of time and has never turned it off.
God’s life-changing love can touch, and should touch, through us, everyone we touch.
Who knows whose life may be made warmer by feeling the touch of Jesus’ love through the feeling of care when your life touches their life?
Often it is not easy to offer someone the change Jesus and his love can bring.
Often we prefer to shiver or sweat it out.
It is essential to talk to Jesus about touching others with the love and care he has shown you.
Have a great week, knowing the love of God blows all around you.
