A $2 million learning hub has been officially opened at Tyndale Christian School’s Murray Bridge campus, continuing its ongoing expansion.

Enrolments at the school have tripled in the past eight years, making it one of South Australia’s fastest-growing schools.

It will have about 275 students in 2022.

The new learning hub – which includes classrooms, space for the school’s small classes and an office – is just one of a stream of buildings that have been constructed for them to learn in.

More facilities would follow in years to come, Tyndale head of schools Mike Potter said, such as a learning support centre.

That was important, but not as important as the work teachers and staff would do to make use of them.

“We can have great buildings, but if we don’t have awesome education going on inside them, we’re not meeting a need,” he said.

Outgoing principal Bruce Hicks dedicated the learning hub “to the greater glory of God”.

He also thanked the school’s fee-paying parents and the federal government for the contributions which had made the project possible.

Tyndale had not needed to borrow a single dollar to pay for it, he said.

Federal MP Tony Pasin hoped the school’s growth would contribute to a better future for students, and the Murraylands at large.

“Every day you (students) walk into these classrooms, remember that these facilities are more than just buildings, they’re statements of confidence about your future,” he said.

“Your school community, your broader community and your government is confident about your future.

“Through (your) learning we can all have a better and more prosperous future.”
