Members of two Murray Bridge community groups have made up more than 260 posies of flowers as Mothers Day gifts to local women.

As they had done in previous years, the Kiwanis Club of Murray Bridge made 240 posies for patients at the local hospital and residents of several local nursing homes.

The Kiwanis are best known for their services to children in the Murraylands and around the world, including through its Terrific Kids program.

Murray Bridge Social Garden Group members made another 25 for distribution to Resthaven clients still living at home.

The garden group has been performing that service since 2008.

Its members meet at the Johnstone Park Combined Clubrooms at 10am on the first Friday of each month.
